I am pretty sure your motherboard has built-in video, so make sure the onboard video drivers/software is disabled if you also have a Video Card installed in the PCI slot (pci = lol).
With the new video card (above) you should be able to play FC much better and maybe even some newer games (not garaunteed tho .
I have that card (9500GT) and it works very well. Please please make sure you don't need a low-profile card. Is your GX270 one of those SKINNY towers? If so, the card above will work out well. Also check out buy.com because they have free shipping.
Keep in mind he has old-old PCI slot...not PCI express, not agp, but PCI ;P
Yes his is old tiny Dell is a small style workstation from the pre-cambrian era... so low-profile is teh way to go. I was suprised to see such a modern GPU for such an old connection...besides pretty sure this has already arrived for him.
The video card recommended by Garbitos was installed an hour ago and it has made a HUMANGOUS difference in my video experience. Don't know if it will improve my gameplay at all but at least I get to see the pretty birdies now while getting all shot up. Many thanks, again, Garbs.
